Luke 9: 28-36 "Glorious Christ"
A prayer, in the form of a collect, based on a bible reading from today's lectionary
A collect based on Luke 9: 28-36 (Click here to read the passage)
Glorious Christ, the one who was chosen.
You prayed expectantly. Expecting to encounter God; that you would be changed and a new way of living and dying would arise.
Help us to look for moments of glory when we wake, when we sleep, when we pray, when we dream, so all you want to offer is open to us.
Because then our fear turns to wisdom, our inertia to awakening, and we discover that “it is good for us to be here”; wherever we are.
Amen.
