John 12: 34-43 “Walk while you have the light”

Christ, you are the light of the world,

And invite us to walk in your light, believe in your light, become children of light.

Yet we blind our eyes and harden our hearts because your light illuminates our hidden places, forcing us to confront the pain and disappointment within ourselves, and in our world.

On this new day give us the courage to turn, face the rising sun, and heal. To let the light break through our darkness so that we will forever remain in your presence.

Amen.
